Atlanta, Georgia, September 19, 1864

I received a letter from Hans Rise. He writes me that Lake Prairie now pays one hundred fifty dollars bounty.

I wish to know who is entitled to this bounty and how it is paid, and who has the power to fix up this bounty for those men that have been laying at home until now.

I believe that I, who do not get a cent thereof, will have to pay for this bounty from my monthly pay, and the next thing will be a pension for those that never go out.

Therefore i wish to know who is the head man for it. I might be able to write him a letter and tell hiim my opinion.
